Michael Jang was told that if he mastered three tai-chi poses, he would reach enlightenment. These poses are not easy, and the accomplishment is a testament to his will and work ethic. Once he achived his goal, he realized that life was still the same, and turned himself into a penguin. This triptych was taken while studying in the inaugural year of Cal Arts in 1972.
